In this short play, Samuel Bowles, Tom Weisskopf's longtime friend and collaborator, imagines a dinner party with Karl Marx, Leon Walras, and John Maynard Keynes at the author's home. Not surprisingly, the three economics titans disagree sharply, in this instance, about the dynamics of wage determination and causes of mass unemployment under capitalism. The dispute appears irresolvable until Tom Weisskopf happens to show up at the gathering.
