Gordon Hall 418 N. Pleasant St. Amherst An overwhelming majority of Americans oppose the Iraq war, but, thus far, the peace movement has failed to force a withdrawal or even a change in direction. A large majority also opposes rising inequality in the United States, but the trend has continued unabated for a generation. Alexander Cockburn and JoAnn Wypijewski, two of the most distinguished political journalists in the United States, will explore these and related questions in their lecture and discussion. Alexander Cockburn is a columnist for The Nation and Co-Editor of CounterPunch. >> Go to the CounterPunch website JoAnn Wypijewski is a former senior editor at The Nation and is a contributing writer for Harpers and Mother Jones. >> Read JoAnn Wypijewski's articles in Mother Jones |
