Barry Schwartz is a professor of psychology at Swarthmore College. He has written ten books and more than 100 articles for professional journals. He is the author of The Paradox of Choice: Why More Is Less, which argues that too many choices can paralyze people into inaction, and cause them to be dissatisfied with even good decisions.  It was named one of the top business books of the year by both Business Week and Forbes Magazine, and has been translated into sixteen languages. His earlier books include The Battle for Human Nature: Science, Morality and Modern Life and The Costs of Living: How Market Freedom Erodes the Best Things in Life.
