This is the second lecture in a three-day series by Prabhat Patnaik.

Prabhat Patnaik is author of, among other books, What Ever Happenned to Imperialism and Other Essays and Economics & Egalitarianism. He is a professor at the Centre for Economic Studies and Planning in the School of Social Sciences at Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi. He currently serves as Vice-chairman of the Planning Commission of the state of Kerala.
