Comment on Epstein, Crotty and Heintz (Thomas Weisskopf Festschrift Conference Paper)
John Miller | 3/12/2013

Miller considers James Heintz’s “Unpacking the U.S. Labor Share” and Gerald Epstein & James Crotty’s “How Big Is Too Big?” in the context of how both papers aim to humanize political economy. He points out how both papers expose the failure of the U.S. economy to serve humanity: “One estimates just how much of financial sector activity is socially useless and in some cases socially destructive. The other unpacks the trends that have left an ever smaller a proportion of national income devoted to the real labor share, especially of production workers.”
